Every product we cover is checked against manufacturer specs and verified buyer feedback before we publish a verdict, and we say clearly where each claim comes from.
We only cover immersion cold brew makers, and the Toddy Cold Brew System is the one we go deepest on. A review here starts with the manufacturer’s own specs and brewing instructions, then works through a large sample of verified buyer reviews looking for patterns rather than one-off rants or raves.
The things we weigh most are the ones that decide whether you will still be using a brewer a year from now: how clean the concentrate comes out, how much it makes per batch, how much work the filter needs, and what owners report after long-term use. Price matters too, but we judge it against what you would otherwise spend on bottled or coffee-shop cold brew.
Our ratings are our own editorial judgment. We do not copy star ratings from Amazon or anywhere else, and when a claim comes from a brand’s marketing, such as an acidity percentage, we say so.
